About the Stars

The Stars (17-10-2) are coming off a 5-2 loss at Phoenix Saturday. The Stars fell behind 3-0 in the first period of the game.

“We knew they were going to come out hard. Their coach made it clear that this was their biggest game of the year,” said Stars defenseman Stephane Robidas. “We thought we were going to be ready for it but obviously they were the better team out there tonight.”

Saturday’s loss ran the Stars’ winless streak on the road to three games (0-2-1).

Andrew Raycroft is expected to start in goal Monday.

Injuries: G Kari Lehtonen (back), F Toby Petersen (hand) and F Krys Barch (foot/ankle) are out.

About the Sharks

San Jose (15-10-4) defeated Chicago 2-1 in overtime on Saturday. Ryane Clowe scored both San Jose goals, including the game-winner 3:52 into overtime. It was San Jose’s first win in four-on-four overtime, where they are now 1-4 this season.

“We needed a win, never mind when we got it,” Sharks coach Todd McLellan said. “But the fact that we did win it in overtime, four-on-four - we looked a little sharper in that situation than we have in the past.”

The Sharks have won three of their last four games (3-1-0).

Injuries: F Devin Setoguchi (upper body) and D Kent Huskins (upper body) are questionable.
