After making a post-Christmas trip to Colorado, the Stars are at home all week. They'll get a chance to practice in Frisco, sleep in their own beds and play three straight games at American Airlines Center.
They'll face three teams that are in different spots in the standings. Chicago comes in with the most points (55) in the Western Conference to play the Stars on Tuesday night. They beat Nashville, 5-4, on a Patrick Kane goal with 43.4 seconds left Sunday.
Dallas then takes on Anaheim on New Year's Eve. The Ducks are last in the Pacific Division, six points behind Dallas.
The Stars skate against Vancouver on Saturday to complete the trifecta. The Canucks are seventh in the conference and have 46 points, three more than Dallas.
This week is a big chance for the Stars, sitting two points out of the eighth and final playoff spot, to make a statement and get on a run, something they haven't done all season.
How many points do you think they get this week? I say four of a possible six.
