About the Stars

The Stars lost, 3-2, in a shootout to the New York Rangers at American Airlines Center on Friday. It ran the Stars’ winless streak at home to five games (0-3-2).

“It’s tough when you lose full points. We wanted the extra point, and we didn’t get it,” said Stars forward Loui Eriksson. “It was a pretty tight game today. We had pretty good chances. Both teams had pretty good chances today, but it’s always tough when you lose and don’t get the extra point.”

Stars coach Marc Crawford will reveal his starting goaltender Sunday.

Injuries: D Matt Niskanen (hand), D Karlis Skrastins (head) and F Toby Petersen (leg) are out.

About the Wild

The Wild won their fourth straight game, topping the Penguins, 4-0, in Pittsburgh on Saturday night. Jose Theodore stopped 26 shots for his 30th career shutout.

“We're playing so well, boxing out so I can see the puck, and when you can see those pucks you can control rebounds so there's no second shots,” Theodore said. “Right now we're all in sync in our own zone, from the defense and the goalie to the forwards.”

Theodore has been in net for the Wild during the four-game winning streak, starting each game because starter Niklas Backstrom is out with groin/hip issues.

Minnesota is 8-2-1 in its last 11 games.

Injuries: F Antti Miettinen (leg) is doubtful. G Niklas Backstrom (groin/hip), D Marek Zidlicky (shoulder), F Guillaume Latendresse (hip) and G Josh Harding (knee) are out.
