About the Stars

The Stars lost 3-1 at Philadelphia Saturday. It was their third straight loss and their fifth in the last six games (1-5-0).

“We hope [it’s a step forward]. We will see on Wednesday,” said Stars captain Brenden Morrow. “Right now, we just lost a game 3-1. We are disappointed with that. It feels like a loss right now. [Coach Marc Crawford] came in and told us we had a great effort, but I don’t think any of us are really happy with the result.”

Kari Lehtonen will start in goal Wednesday.

Injuries: F Tom Wandell (shoulder) is probable. F Adam Burish (orbital bone), F Krys Barch (orbital bone), F Ray Sawada (shoulder), F Jamie Benn (shoulder) and F Toby Petersen (leg) are out.

About the Coyotes

The Coyotes won 3-0 over Colorado Monday. Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 26 shots for his second straight shutout.

"Bryz has been solid and when he's had to make big saves, he has, but we've been more committed in front of him, playing stronger defense,” said Phoenix coach Dave Tippett.

The victory gave Phoenix 63 points, just two behind Pacific Division leading Dallas.

Injuries: D Ed Jovanovski (upper body) and C Vernon Fiddler (upper body) are questionable. D David Schlemko (head) is out.
