Stars activate Toby Petersen from IR

The Dallas Stars have recalled forward Toby Petersen from his conditioning assignment with the Texas Stars and activated him from injured reserve.

Petersen, who has missed the last 16 games with a leg injury, is expected to return to action tonight as the Dallas Stars take on the Oilers in Edmonton. Petersen played with the Texas Stars last night in Cleveland.

To make room for Petersen on the roster, the Stars have assigned left wing Francis Wathier back to the AHL.

The Stars have also recalled defenseman Trevor Ludwig from Texas. Ludwig, the son of former Stars defenseman Craig Ludwig, is not expected to play tonight. With Nicklas Grossman out with a hip injury, Matt Niskanen will be back in the lineup after missing the last three games.
