About the Stars

The Stars improved to 2-0-1 on their current road trip and ran their points streak to five games (4-0-1) with a 3-2 win in San Jose Saturday. The Stars overcame a 2-1 deficit in the third period on goals by Loui Eriksson and Jason Williams.

“It was a gritty effort,” said Stars coach Marc Crawford. “Anytime you’re behind a goal in an opposition building and you find a way to win, you are doing something special.”

Kari Lehtonen is expected to start in goal for the Stars.

Injuries: Brad Richards (concussion-like symptoms) and D Nicklas Grossman (hip) and Jamie Langenbrunner (upper body) are day-to-day.

About Kings

The Kings lost 3-1 to Vancouver Saturday to fall to 3-2-0 in the first five games of their six-game homestand. The Kings were outshot 36-22 in the game, including 27-12 in the first two periods.

“We (can do) a lot better than that,’’ said Kings defenseman Drew Doughty. “I know we’re all not happy with the way we played, and the next game is a must-win and we’re going to be at our best.”

Jonathan Bernier is expected to get the start in goal Monday.

Injuries: LW Scott Parse (hip) is out.
