LAS VEGAS – The fourth installment of the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez rivalry has sold out, according to promoter Top Rank.
They meet on Saturday night (HBO PPV, 9 ET, $59.95) in a welterweight fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena and, according to Top Rank bossman Bob Arum, the ticket sales will generate a live gate of more than $10.5 million.
“Manny and Juan Manuel may have unfinished business in the ring, but as far as the live box office, it’s business as usual -- another sellout,” Arum said.
Closed circuit locations are open at various MGM sister properties in Las Vegas, including ARIA, Mandalay Bay, The Mirage, Monte Carlo, New York-New York and Circus Circus with tickets going for $50 apiece.
The $10.5 million-plus gate will put the fight 14th all-time in Nevada history, sandwiched between Mike Tyson-Frank Bruno II ($10,673,700) and Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Ricky Hatton ($10,393,950).
Pacquiao’s third fight with Marquez, which was 13 months ago, is 10th in Nevada history with a ticket take of $11,648,300.
