Col. Bob Sheridan recovering

Famed broadcaster Col. Bob Sheridan, who has called more than 10,000 boxing matches and more than 900 world title fights, is resting comfortably after having triple heart bypass surgery this week. He has a history of heart trouble -- including five heart attacks -- but said after the surgery that he is "good as new."

If his recovery goes well, Sheridan plans to be in New Zealand on Aug. 31 to work the broadcast of the David Tua-Alexander Ustinov heavyweight fight.
