Fight cards coming to CBS Sports Net

Promoter Greg Cohen announced this week that he has made a multi-fight deal to put boxing cards on CBS Sports Network beginning next month.

Like Al Haymon is doing for his “Premier Boxing Champions” series across various networks, Cohen is buying the time to put on the shows but he did not specify how many dates he has this year.

The “Championship Boxing” show kicks off April 17 (10 p.m. ET) at the Grand Casino in Hinckley, Minnesota. Dennis Hogan (20-0-1, 7 KOs), born in Ireland and living in Australia, will face Philadelphia's Tyrone Brunson (22-4-1, 21 KOs) in a 10-rounder. Canada's Tony Luis (19-2, 7 KOs) will face an opponent to be determined in the 10-round lightweight co-feature.

"This is a huge next step in the evolution of my company,” Cohen said. “This is going to be a great year for televised boxing and it's an honor to be working with such a prestigious television partner to make it happen."
