Good Morning and ROOOAARRR!!!! (AND BRRRRR...OR THAAWWWW??)
In what has been the busiest day yet of the Detroit Lions coaching search, two new names emerged Tuesday.
Mike Munchak and Gary Kubiak.
The commonalities between them, besides their former homes in the AFC South with Tennessee and Houston respectively, is the same among every coach the Lions have expressed interest in.
They have been head coaches before. They have spent the majority of their careers on the offensive side of the ball. This is the common theme of the five known candidates thus far: Munchak, Kubiak, Jim Caldwell, Jay Gruden and Ken Whisenhunt.
And now, a search around the Interwebs for more Lions news.
Our look at plays that shaped the Lions season continues with No. 9, a play from the season opener.
The Detroit Free Press writes that former quarterbacks think Matthew Stafford shouldn't be in the interview process.
Joe Gibbs likes the intelligence and experience of his former player, Ken Whisenhunt, writes Chris McCosky in the Detroit News.
