Good morning and ROOOOOAAARRRR!!! (AND BRRRRRR)
The NFL had its first Pro Bowl draft Tuesday night and a Detroit Lion was the first selection.
Ndamukong Suh was the first player taken during the league's Pro Bowl draft -- in part because defensive tackles were the first position group up to be selected.
Suh will play on Deion Sanders' team in the game Sunday night and will have Gerald McCoy and Dontari Poe with him as defensive tackles.
The Pro Bowl draft continues Wednesday night, but no other Detroit players will be picked. Calvin Johnson was selected to be in the game, but will miss it due to injury.
And now, a look around the Interwebs in search of Lions news:
The Lions hired Joe Lombardi as their offensive coordinator. Lombardi's hire shows Matthew Stafford is priority No. 1. Detroit's brass hinted at a Suh extension again. Getting that wrapped up would be big for the Lions.
Lombardi tells Eric Edholm of the Shutdown Corner that Stafford is not broken.
The Wide Nine defensive front will remain -- at least at sometimes -- writes Kyle Meinke from MLive.
