Morning Roar: Lions didn't talk with Gase

Good morning and ROOOAAARRRR!!!!

During the Detroit Lions' coaching search, a lot of different possibilities presented themselves. Team president Tom Lewand and general manager Martin Mayhew said they had an exhaustive search and talked with many candidates -- despite what had been reported publicly.

One candidate they apparently didn't speak with, according to MLive, is Denver offensive coordinator Adam Gase.

Gase fit some of what Lewand and Mayhew were looking for -- an offensive mind with the pedigree of aiding quarterbacks -- but didn't fit everything, as the former Lions assistant did not have prior head coaching experience.

Of course, Detroit ended up going with the man who mentored Peyton Manning before Gase -- Jim Caldwell.

And now, a search for Lions news from around the Interwebs.
