Good Morning and ROOOOOAAARRR!!!!
INDIANAPOLIS -- The crush started a bit Wednesday but the intensity of the NFL combine starts Thursday morning.
Weigh-ins will occur. Meetings will take place. The first group of prospects -- kickers and punters, tight ends and offensive linemen -- are scheduled to meet with the media throughout the day. Coaches and general managers will talk, too, including Detroit's Jim Caldwell right at noon.
At this point, almost everywhere you turn in downtown Indianapolis, there is someone related to professional football in some capacity. And it will only get busier throughout the week.
So be prepared and be ready for an intense few days in the middle of the NFL offseason.
And now, as you wait, a quick look around the Interwebs in search of Lions news:
A primer for this week's combine from a Lions perspective. Carlin Isles looks to be choosing rugby over Detroit. The latest Meet the Free Agent -- defensive end Willie Young. This week's NFL Nation Buzz.
Jim Caldwell's success in Detroit will be tied to talent, writes Carlos Monarrez in the Detroit Free Press. Ndamukong Suh could work on a contract extension this week ... if he has an agent, writes Dave Birkett in the Free Press.
Chris McCosky from the Detroit News looks at 15 free agents the Lions might go after.
