Morning Roar: A look back at Detroit's loss

Good morning and ROOOOAAARRR!!!

The Detroit Lions are waking up this morning with the realization they have a lot of work to do -- and perhaps need some good fortune -- to ensure they will still be a good football team this year.

What can they do for themselves? Cut down on penalties. Continue to have Matthew Stafford make smart decisions in the offense. Keep the offensive line progressing as it has been.

What they have to wait and hope on? The health of star running back Reggie Bush, who will go through tests Monday on his injured left knee. Remember, the Lions brought Bush in to be the missing, helpful piece to their offense and when healthy, he has absolutely been that.

If he isn't, Detroit's running back situation looks a little bit like a season ago. Joique Bell would receive a lot of carries -- and he's a good option but a different back than Bush. Mikel Leshoure would probably join the world of active players for games and rookie Theo Riddick would likely get a look.

But as mentioned before -- Detroit's first hope is Bush's knee has nothing really wrong with it and that he'll just be really sore the next couple of days.

Here's what the rest of the Interwebs is saying about Detroit today:
