Morning Roar: Remaining Lions free agents

The Lions, lying in wait for the new year...

As Jason Fox picked up a contract with Miami this week and Nate Burleson also visited the Dolphins -- could Miami become Detroit South -- more of the Detroit Lions are starting to see some action as free agency pushes to its second month.

The Lions, as you recall, re-signed some of their own players: tight end Brandon Pettigrew, wide receiver Kevin Ogletree and defensive tackle Andre Fluellen. Others, such as defensive end Willie Young and safety Louis Delmas, quickly found new homes in Chicago and Miami.

But what about the rest? Here's a look at where what Lions are left on the market.

Quarterback Shaun Hill -- Signed a one-year deal with St. Louis, eventually resulting in the Lions signing Dan Orlovsky.

Returner Micheal Spurlock -- Visited with Kansas City last month, according to National Football Post.

Tight end Dorin Dickerson -- No action yet.

Offensive guard Dylan Gandy -- No action yet.

Offensive guard Leroy Harris -- No action yet.

Defensive lineman Israel Idonije -- Signed with Chicago on a one-year deal.

Linebacker Rocky McIntosh -- No action yet.

Cornerback Rashean Mathis -- No action yet.

Safety John Wendling -- No action yet.

Kicker David Akers -- No action yet.
