Lions preseason schedule set

If Detroit Lions fans miss Nate Burleson, they won't have to for long.

The former Lions wide receiver, who was cut from the team in February, will make his return to his former home for the first game of the preseason, when the Cleveland Browns head to Detroit.

That game will kick off the team's four-game preseason schedule with Cleveland in Week 1, at Oakland in Week 2, hosting Jacksonville in Week 3 and and at Buffalo in Week 4 on Aug. 28.

This will be the 34th time the Bills and Lions have played in the preseason and the 46th time they will play Cleveland in the preseason.

The first preseason game will be between Aug. 7-10, the second between Aug. 14-18 and the third between Aug. 21-24. The Lions have no national preseason games.

Also, former Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson will return to the state when the Jaguars come to Detroit during Week 3.
