Lions make some scouting moves

With the NFL draft over and the college-and-pro scouting season completed, the Detroit Lions made some moves with their scouting department on Thursday.

The team promoted Rob Lohman, the former college scouting coordinator and regional scout, to the assistant director of pro personnel. Joe Kelleher, who scouted the Midwest last season, will now be the Plains/Central regional scout. Darren Anderson will take Kelleher's role as the Midwest scout after being the team's regional BLESTO scout.

Alan Anderson will move into the BLESTO role. He was one of the Lions' pro personnel assistants since interning with the team in 2010.

The team also hired Patrick Mularkey from Jacksonville to be the pro personnel coordinator. Mularkey is the son of Mike Mularkey, who is now the tight ends coach in Tennessee.
