Currently, the hottest relief pitcher in the fantasy world is Seattle Mariners right-hander Edwin Diaz. Although he appeared to lose his closing role in late June, Diaz hasn’t had many problems since then. In fact, he has five saves in the first eight games of August and a total of 12 since the All-Star break, easily topping the 30-day Player Rater among relievers. It seems worth noting that since he became Seattle’s closer at the start of August 2016, Kenley Jansen and Alex Colome are the only pitchers with more saves. But is Diaz truly safe? Does he make for a reliable keeper?
