As a left-handed hurler myself, I'm well aware of the inherent bias many managers have about trusting the ninth inning to someone that does not throw a baseball with their right arm -- as if! In any event, I’ve noticed this hasn’t been a banner season for the lefty closers. In fact, this will likely be the first year since 2011 that no left-hander saves 30-or-more games. Entering Thursday, the most saves for any such pitcher is a paltry 16! What’s going on here? What do these managers have against lefties?
