Bradley proof that saves aren't everything

The best relief pitcher in baseball this season, using Wins Above Replacement (WAR) as a guide, saved the first game of his career on Sunday. Fantasy owners just want the saves, of course, hopefully with a little ERA, WHIP and lot of strikeouts thrown in there -- but WAR doesn’t care about that. WAR wants innings -- good innings, without baserunners and home runs and other things that lead to the other team lighting up the scoreboard. According to Baseball-Reference.com's WAR calculations, it's not Kenley Jansen or Craig Kimbrel who are leading the pack among all relievers for 2017. It's Arizona Diamondbacks right-hander Archie Bradley.
