On Tuesday, a water main break in the Los Angeles neighborhood Westwood resulted in massive flooding at the UCLA campus. Iconic athletic venues Pauley Pavilion and Drake Stadium looked like swimming pools by the end of the day.

Thankfully, no one was injured by the flooding. Except, that is, UCLA’s fiscal budget. The school invested more than $130 million in 2012 to renovate Pauley Pavilion and it will likely have to spend millions more in repairs after Tuesday’s water event.
Track campers, unable to do drills, watched the mess from an elevated location.
