Lolo Jones may be taking a temporary break from competitive track and field, but that doesn’t mean you can’t see her this fall. That’s right, folks. You see, Lolo will be appearing in the soon-to-be released “Left Behind,” starring Internet legend and Academy Award winner Nic Cage alongside that dude from “One Tree Hill.” The movie, which looks to have stolen the plot from the HBO hit “The Leftovers,” hits theaters in October, so you’ll have to find ways to contain your excitement until then.
Per Lolo, she has three lines in the movie and doesn’t actually appear in the trailer posted below. But that still classifies her as a movie star in my book. It’s three more lines than the rest of us have.
As ESPN’s resident Nic Cage enthusiast, I, for one, can’t wait for this film and will definitely be seeing it in the theaters. You know, if it makes it there and doesn’t go straight to DVD.
Spoiler alert: For those of you “High School Musical” fans excited to see Ashley Tisdale find employment, um, sorry. Lolo seems to have posted a very outdated movie poster -- the former Disney star backed out before filming began. Can’t imagine why.
