Daily Fantasy NFL Week 1: Between the lines

What daily fantasy implications can we learn from the line-makers? Plenty. Lines can help predict game flow and what that means for different parts of the offense or defense. A high total line represents more offense and therefore more potential fantasy scoring. A low total may offer insight on a potential team to examine for your defense. That said, since points allowed is a relatively small part of defensive scoring in daily fantasy, I prefer to pick on defenses with a favorable turnover ratio, which can boost your score regardless of the game’s score.

NOTE: Lines can change at a moment's notice based on the actual bets placed on each game. Therefore, while any lines or odds mentioned in this column were accurate at the time of writing, they could have moved slightly since then. Lines are provided by Westgate Las Vegas SuperBook as of Friday 7:00 a.m. For the latest odds click here.
