GREEN BAY, Wis. -- In another one of those only-in-Green-Bay NFL moments, the Packers announced on Monday that their annual Family Night at Lambeau Field is sold out.
For those who have forgotten, the Packers will hold only a regular training-camp practice -- and not a scrimmage as in year's past -- at the Aug. 2 event this year.
Nevertheless, the team said nearly 73,000 tickets have been gobbled up at $10 each.
This is the eighth time in the event's 14-year history that it has been sold out.
For statewide fans who missed their chance to buy tickets, the practice will be televised across Wisconsin.
Also, the Packers will hold a total of 16 other open practices during training camp.
