Is Green Bay Packers' rookie WR Ty Montgomery for real?

The Green Bay Packers open the preseason at 7:30p.m. ET Thursday versus the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium. Here's a couple things to watch for during the game:

Why watch: If you've seen any of the Packers' training camp practices, rookie receiver Ty Montgomery almost certainly would have caught your eye. His leaping catches, shake-and-bake moves and explosiveness have made him a daily part of the conversation. The third-round pick from Stanford probably will be the first player to touch the ball given that he's the likely No. 1 kickoff returner. You'll get a chance, early and perhaps often, to see if he can take what he's done on the practice field to a game.

Did you know?: The Packers and Patriots are the only teams in the NFL to make the playoffs in each of the last six seasons and only one other team, the Broncos, also has won their division each of the last four years. The starting quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady, might not play much (if at all), but they have combined to win four of the last eight NFL MVP awards. Perhaps we'll see these two teams in Super Bowl 50.
