Chris Harvey, a catcher out of Germantown Academy (Fort Washington, Pa.), enrolled early at Vanderbilt. The 6-foot-5, 215 pound catcher will forgo his senior year in high school and become a Commodore this fall. This is big for the Vandy program because it means they will not lose him to the draft next June. This according to the Tennessean.com.
Harvey played for the New York Yankees in the 2011 Area Code Baseball Games presented by New Balance and played for the Yankees in the 2011 East Coast Pro Showcase.
Other nationally know players to do this is Robert Stock, left Agoura (Agoura, Calif.) to play at USC and Porter Clayton graduated in the Winter of 2010 from Bonneville (Idaho Falls, Idaho) to play at Oregon.
