San Diego State lands two-sport athlete

Travis Nicklaw, a soccer player who was a high-rated place-kicking prospect in football, confirmed to ESPNHS that he has commited to San Diego State.

Nicklaw plays club soccer for Notts Forest in San Diego. He also is a standout high school soccer performer for University City (San Diego, Calif.). In addition, he was the school's place-kicker and had a three-field goal outing this past season.

He joins a San Diego State recruiting class that includes Aaron Thompson of California and Keenan Townsend of Washington.
