Andrew Brody, a Class of 2013 midfielder from Orlando, Fla., who is playing for Real Salt Lake-AZ in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, verbally committed to Louisville on Tuesday, RSL-AZ confirmed.
"It was a very difficult decision and I was lucky to have some great soccer programs to choose from," said Brody, who leads the RSL-AZ under 15/16 squad with eight goals and 11 assists this season. "I just feel that Louisville and Coach [Ken] Lolla are the best fit for me."
Brody was an Academy Showcase Select Team player and is being looked at for the U18 National Team. He plays outside midfield or attacking midfield at RSL-AZ. RSL-AZ is in first place in the SoCal Division.
Brody was considering considering Wake Forest, North Carolina and others before committing to the Cardinals.
He joins a Class of 2013 recruiting group that includes three Maryland prospects in Jeremy DeGraffenreidt, Michael DeGraffenreidt and Romilio Hernandez.
