South Central keeper commits to Dartmouth

James Hickok, a Class of 2013 goalkeeper prospect from Westport, Conn., verbally committed to Dartmouth, he confirmed Monday.

Hickok plays for the South Central Premier Under-15/16 squad in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy, where he has started six matches this season. He previously played for FC Westchester until joining South Central in 2008.

He started in goal for Staples (Westport, Conn.) the past two seasons, collecting 28 shutouts in 45 matches on the high school level while playing for Dan Woog's highly successful team.

This past fall, Hickok was twice named the Connecticut Post Player of the Week and earned All-Connecticut honors from MSG Varsity and all-state honors from the state coaches association. In addition, he collected first-team honors from the Norwalk Hour and the Connecticut Post.
