CSA Wolves forward selects Michigan State

Ali Cheaib, a Class of 2013 forward prospect from Dearborn, Mich., verbally committed to Michigan State on Monday, his family confirmed.

Cheaib has scored four goals while helping CSA Wolves to a 10-0-2 record and No. 2 ranking in the ESPNHS Development Academy Under-15/16 Power Rankings. He's been a part of the Wolves program since 2002, going through three team name changes -- Michigan Wolves, Derby County Wolves and currently CSA Wolves. In 2009, he was named MVP of the program's State Cup-winning team.

At Crestwood (Dearborn, Mich.), he scored 40 goals last season and was named to the Michigan coaches Division 2 all-state third team.

Cheaib joins fellow Michigan natives Andrew Lewis and Brian Winterfield as Michigan State's early commitments for the Class of 2013.
