Ryan Vilella, a Class of 2013 midfielder prospect from Cranberry Township, Pa., verbally committed to Xavier, ESPNHS learned Tuesday morning.
Vilella received all-state high school honors while helping Seneca Valley (Harmony, Pa.) to the Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League Class AAA semifinals. He was the team-leader with 10 goals. He also was selected to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette first-team all-star squad.
He plays club soccer for Beadling FC, which placed third in its bracket during this past season's US Youth Soccer National League competition.
Vilella is the second confirmed commitment to Xavier for the Class of 2013, joining Kentucky native Walker Andriot.
