Matt Pacifici, who earned ESPNHS All-America honors for the fall of 2010, will transfer from Wake Forest to Davidson for the fall of 2012, ESPNHS learned Wednesday.

Pacifici tied for the high school national lead in shutouts with 21 during the 2010-11 school year while playing at Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, N.C.). He did not make any appearances with Wake Forest this past fall.

Pacifici played club soccer for North Meck SC in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.

He joins a Davidson recruiting class that includes George Kaloudis, Alec Rotunda and C.J. Tikvart from North Carolina, Andrew Kenneson from Tennessee, Shane Macnamara and Valeriy Sviderskiy from Virginia and Alan Reiter from Connecticut.
