Sporting KC defender picks Creighton

Eric DeJulio, a Class of 2012 defender from Kansas, verbally committed to Creighton, ESPNHS learned Tuesday morning.

DeJulio started all 24 matches for Sporting Kansas City's under-15/16 team in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy last season. He scored three goals and helped the team to a division runner-up finish. This season, he is the only player to start all six of Sporting Kansas City's under-17/18 Academy matches.

DeJulio was named to the Kansas Soccer Coaches Association Class 6A All-State first team for Blue Valley Northwest (Overland Park, Kan.).

He joins a recruiting class that includes Myles Englis of Georgia, Benjamin Kucera of Illinois and McAmos Paye of North Carolina.
