C.J. Klepac, who led Farmington (N.M.) to a high school state title this past fall, confirmed Sunday that he has verbally commited to New Mexico.

Klepac scored 25 goals and had 10 assists during regular-season play in high school. He earned Class AAAA first-team all-state honors by the New Mexico High School Soccer Coaches Association.

The Class of 2012 midfielder/defender prospect plays club soccer for New Mexico Rush Nike, where he was part of a team that won the US Youth Soccer Region IV title and made an appearance at the US Youth Soccer National Championships this past summer.

Klepac joins a New Mexico recruiting class that includes Nicholas Rochowski from Texas and Christopher Wehan from California.
