Through Dani Urman, Jim Valvano's cause lives on

As part of Jimmy V Week, which benefits the V Foundation for Cancer Research, we bring you the story of Dani Urman.

The 16-year-old girls' golfer was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a form of bone cancer. Despite a tumultuous fight with the deadly disease, Urman never gave up and returned to the golf course last season to help her Cherry Creek team win a state title.

Her story is the embodiment of Jim Valvano, the legendary coach who lost his battle with cancer.

Today, ESPN kicks off Jimmy V Week.
