Valdosta jumps to No. 5 in FB rankings

There wasn’t much movement among the top four, but a new entrant to the top five is Southeast Georgia power Valdosta. Despite the graduation of Malcolm Mitchell and Jay Rome, both of whom are playing at Georgia, coach Rance Gillespie’s charges have remained a contender with three wins by a combined score of 67-25. They look to keep rolling against Brunswick and Alabama Lee before traveling to preseason top 10 squad Lowndes.

Here's a look at how the top three teams fared last week:

1. Grayson — defeated Archer, 34-7 (last week No. 1)

2. Stephenson — defeated Tift County, 35-21 (last week No. 2)

3. Camden County — bye week (last week No. 3)
