Today: The top underclassmen in high school football.

The state championships are over and the Class of 2012 had a great run, but it’s never too early to start looking at the impressive players in the Class of 2013 and beyond. Who’s going to rule the gridiron in Georgia next season? We give you the early rundown of who to watch for.

5. Deshaun Watson (SO), Gainesville, QB

Credentials: Just beat out Camden County's Brice Ramsey after huge second half of the year, accounted for five TDs to halt Sandy Creek's 41-game win streak, tossed 41 touchdown passes and rushed for 16 more, piled up more than 4,000 total offensive yards

4. Trey Johnson (JR), Central Gwinnett, LB

Credentials: Auburn commit had a monster junior campaign: 164 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, six sacks and four forced fumbles

3. Tyren Jones (JR), Walton, RB

Credentials: State's leading rusher with 2,375 yards, scored 38 touchdowns to lead Walton to the Class AAAAA title game

2. Reuben Foster (JR), Troup, LB

Credentials: Auburn commit was the Alpha male on a defense that allowed less than 14 points a contest, has posted three consecutive 100-plus tackle seasons,

1. Robert Nkemdiche (JR), Grayson, DL/RB

Credentials: Arguably nation's No. 1 overall recruit, led Grayson to its first state crown, anchored a defense that allowed less than 40 rushing yards a game, 15 sacks, punishing runner especially in the red zone, scored 16 rushing TDs
