Ole Miss lands Midwest defender

Caitlin Lewis, a Class of 2013 defender from Papillion, Neb., has verbally committed to Mississippi, her family confirmed to ESPNHS.

Lewis was a team captain for the three-time Nebraska State Cup championship Toro Booyah team and now plays for Elite Girls Academy--Booyah. On the high school side, she has started every year for Papillion-LaVista South (Papillion, Neb.) and was named second-team all-state during her junior season.

Lewis becomes the ninth confirmed commitment to Mississippi for the Class of 2013. She joins defenders Melissa Capocaccia and Allie Stone, midfielders Gretchen Harknett and Heather Lacy, forwards Addie Forbus, Cheyenne Hall and Mackenzie Parma and goalkeeper Madi Killeen.
