Eclipse defender follows her brother's lead

Cali Pyzdrowski, a Class of 2013 defender from Hinsdale, Ill., has verbally committed to Marquette, ESPNHS has confirmed.

Pyzdrowksi has been with Eclipse for five seasons and currently competes with the U17 US Youth Soccer squad. Her older brother, Matt Pyzdrowski, was a goalkeeper for Marquette from 2006-2009, and now plays professoinally in Sweden.

"He's been a huge influence on me," she said of her older brother. "He's had a huge impact on my soccer and how I want to continue on, and he's helped me get better at my game. He's always talked to me about believing in myself, knowing I can do it, and to put the time and effort in."

Pyzdrowksi becomes the fifth confirmed committ to Marquette for the Class of 2013. She will join Elizabeth Bartels, Ashley Handwork, Morgan Proffitt, and fellow Eclipse defender Erin Holland.
