Other Schools Considered: Kentucky, Iowa , Maryland, Northwestern and Notre Dame.

Why Miami?: "Miami had everything I was looking for in a soccer program and university. The University of Miami has a strong academics program with determined coaches and is in the ACC. It has has smaller size classes with over 52 percent of classes with less than 20 students, according to the Best Colleges, U.S. News Report. It has a smaller enrollment with approximately 15,000 students for a Division I college and, of course, has great weather."

What did you learn about the recruiting process?: "I learned it is very important to visit the schools you are interested in early on so you have time to make a complete decision later. The college you think you may want to attend in the beginning may not necessarily be the school for you. It is also very important to keep an open mind during the process."
