All-State Stock Watch loves the stat sheet stuffers

Each week, we'll take an in-depth look at our preseason All-State basketball team and let you know how a few of those athletes are faring as the season progresses. We'll feature a Prime-Time player (PTP), an Other Top Player (OTP) and an under the radar star who is making a bid to be one of the state's top players (UTR).

If you've got athletes you think we should mention in our All-State Stock Watch, hit me up on Twitter @CParishESPNHS.

PTP: Ray Lee, Romulus, Senior

Certain games are barometers of the season. A mid-season battle against the defending Class A champs? That's a game you circle on your calendar. Against last year's champions, Kalamazoo Central, Lee was at his best. He led all scorers with 21 points and also added seven assists and five rebounds. On the season Romulus is 8-2, and Lee's exceptional play will likely keep them near the top of Class A.

OTP: Terron Ramsey, Melvindale, Senior

It might be more fun to just fill up the stat sheet with points every night, but that doesn't help teams win games. Fortunately for Melvindale, Ramsey's been doing a whole lot of scoring, and a whole lot of rebounding, too. In a game against Harrison on Thursday, Ramsey had 24 points and 15 rebounds as his team earned a 71-57 victory.

UTR: Damon Bozeman, Madison Heights Madison, Senior

Oh sure, Bozeman didn't score for the first five minutes of the game. But when he did score, he didn't stop. In a win over Fitzgerald on Tuesday, Bozeman lit up his opponents for 38 points. What's more impressive? That he dropped 38 so easily? Or that he's averaging 33 a night? It's tough to tell, but either way, Bozeman is having an other-worldly year.

Bonus Pick: Eric Wise, Osborn, Senior

Wise had 25 points, 15 rebounds and 18 blocks (!) for Osborn in a win over Detroit Central on Tuesday.
