Don't mess with Dexter: Michigan's cross country preview

Dyestat's Marc Bloom put together an impressive rundown of the cross country outlook in all 50 states, and it looks like it's going to be an impressive year in Michigan. Here's their breakdown of the state's XC scene:

"With all the big guns of last year graduating, Div I 4th-placer Evan Chiplock of Saginaw Heritage seems poised to take charge following a state 3200 title in 9:20.90 and seasonal PR of 9:16.39. There were only five underclassmen in the 2010 top-10 and two of them belonged to a resurgent Dexter team—Taylor Neely (11th) and Alexey Vermeulen (15th). With its excellent depth, Dexter would have to be a prohibitive team favorite with an eye on regional impact. Previous state champions Pinckney and Saline are among the other contenders. Chiplock’s Heritage team has its top 6 back and could be a dark horse.
