The state championships are over and the Class of 2012 had a great run, but it’s never too early to start looking at the impressive players in the Class of 2013 and beyond. Who’s going to rule the gridiron in Michigan next season? We give you the early rundown of who to watch for.

5. Jourdan Lewis (JR), Cass Tech, WR/DB

Credentials: State champ, ESPNHS All-State first-teamer, has interest from several colleges

4. Riley Norman (JR), Cadillac, OL

Credentials: Associated Press All-Division 3-4 team, ESPNHS All-State first-teamer, has offer from Michigan State

3. Jayru Campbell (FR), Cass Tech, QB

Credentials: State champ, Threw five touchdowns in state title game (tied a state finals record)

2. Steve Elmer (JR), Midland, OL

Credentials: Notre Dame recruit, Associated Press All Division 1-2 team, 6-foot-6, 300 pounds

1. Shane Morris (JR), DeLaSalle, QB

Credentials: Michigan recruit, 1,684 yards and 19 TDs this season, only seven INTs (two in playoff loss to Cass Tech), ESPNHS All-State first-teamer, Associated Press All-Division 1-2 team
