Despite St. Xavier’s 17-7 loss to Louisville Trinity, Ohio still boasts three teams ranked in the POWERADE FAB 50. No. 8 St. Edward dropped Elder from the Ohio rankings after a 30-10 win on Saturday. St. X fell to No. 28 nationally but remains at No. 2 locally, while Colerain remained entrenched at No. 3 in the state and 44 in the country.
Austintown Fitch fell to Canton McKinley minus Pittsburgh-bound QB Demetrius Davis and moved down to two spots to No. 6, while a scorching hot Mentor team rode the arm of senior Mitch Trubisky to No. 5. Undefeated Toledo Whitmer makes its first appearance in the rankings, holding off 3-0 GlenOak and .500 Glenville for the final spot.
