Walnut Ridge makes huge jump in hoop rankings

Looks like Walnut Ridge impressed our regional voters enough to land in this week's top 10. In fact, the team's 19-1 start was so impressive the Scots moved to No. 20 in the region and No. 4 in the state. The rest of the rankings remain pretty much the same, other than Cleveland Heights dropping out after a pair of losses. Northland, Dunbar and La Salle seem firmly entrenched in the top three spots, while rising teams this week include Shaker Heights (wins over St. Edward and Shaw) and Garfield Heights, which has been unstoppable the last two weeks.

Here's a look at the top three teams:

1. Northland (20-1) — last week No. 1

2. Dunbar (21-0) — last week No. 2

3. La Salle (20-1) — last week No. 3
