Skyline falls out of the top 10 after loss to No. 3 Eastlake

Eastlake proved it belongs among the state's elite with a victory over then No. 4 Skyline. The defense stepped up and forced a fumble as the Spartans were driving to tie the game, proving Eastlake isn't just an offensive-minded team. That should bode well as the state tourney begins shortly. We're not sure what to make of Skyline. We know they have elite players and a championship pedigree, but it seems like more than a few 4A teams have surpassed them this year. We'll see if they can regain their swagger in the coming weeks. Undefeated Kentlake makes its debut in this week's rankings and Bellarmine Prep vaults into the top five.

Here's how the top three teams fared last week:

Bellevue — defeated Mount Si, 35-3 (last week No. 1)

Lakes — Auburn Mountainview, 63-7 (last week No. 2)

Eastlake — defeated Skyline, 28-21 (last week No. 3)
