Today: The top underclassmen in high school football.

The state championships are over and the Class of 2012 had a great run, but it’s never too early to start looking at the impressive players in the Class of 2013 and beyond. Who’s going to rule the gridiron in Washington next season? We give you the early rundown of who to watch for.

5. Peyton Pelluer (JR), Skyline, LB

Credentials: Recorded 122 solo stops and added a pair of sacks for state champs, KingCo 4A Defensive Player of the Year

4. Sefo Liufau (JR), Bellarmine Prep, QB

Credentials: Completed 60 percent of his passes, passed for 2,254 yards and 22 touchdowns, added 241 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground

3. Tatum Taylor (JR), O'Dea, RB/DB

Credentials: Breakaway speed helped him record eight scores of 50 or more yards, All-Metro Offensive Player of the Year, holds a slew of offers from BCS schools, also a track standout

2. Sean Constantine (JR), Bellevue, LB/TE

Credentials: Tackling machine anchored Class 3A champ's stifling unit, All-KingCo first-teamer

1. Max Browne (JR), Skyline, QB

Credentials: Gatorade State Player of the Year passed for 4,034 yards and 45 TDs to lead Spartans to 4A crown, completed 70 percent of his passes, had three five-plus TD games
