Alarming trends for Texans' offense

ESPN Stats & Info examined some alarming trends for the Texans' offense in this blog post yesterday:

Gary Kubiak has used play-action passing 7 percent less this this season than he has during his tenure as the Texans' head coach. Further, the Texans haven't had any big plays through it. While 14.9 percent of quarterback Matt Schaub's play-action passes during the 2011 and 2012 season were for 21 or more yards, none have been this season. The Stats and Info blog post breaks down the numbers further.

The post examines running back Arian Foster's dip in yards per carry in each of the past four seasons.

And finally, the lack of touchdowns for receiver Andre Johnson. Johnson leads the league in targets among players without a touchdown reception. When the Texans have been at their best, they've given Johnson plenty of attention there.
