RTC: Fitzpatrick the key for Texans

Reading the coverage of the Houston Texans ...

Jarrett Bell of USA Today stopped by Texans availability last week, and in addition to a story writing about Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney, he wrote about quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick's impact on the Texans. Bell says the Texans' season hinges on what Fitzpatrick can do.

Keith Browner's family business is football and he wants to make it in his family business, writes Jerome Solomon of the Houston Chronicle. Browner has never played in an NFL game. "Keith Browner Sr., an outside linebacker at USC, was a second-round draft pick of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1984 and started for the Bucs and San Diego Chargers in five NFL seasons. He played a couple years in the Canadian Football League and six more in the Arena Football League.

Texans cornerback Josh Victorian hopes he found a home in Houston, writes Adam Wexler of CSNHouston.com. Victorian, 25, has been with five teams and has only played in 12 NFL games. "They (the coaches) harp on the more you can do, and the more you can play corner, play inside, play outside, I mean it helps your stock," he said. "I think that is all you're trying to do around here."
