Offensive snaps: Brown keeping Sanders on bench

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Offensive snaps for Jaguars skill-position players in Sunday’s 29-27 victory over Tennessee, while analyzing what it means:

QB Chad Henne: 60 of 60

WR Cecil Shorts: 59 of 60

TE Marcedes Lewis: 53 of 60

WR Mike Brown: 51 of 60

RB Maurice Jones-Drew: 46 of 60

TE Clay Harbor: 24 of 60

WR Stephen Burton: 22 of 60

FB Will Ta’ufo’ou: 13 of 60

WR Ace Sanders: 10 of 60

RB Jordan Todman: 9 of 60

TE Danny Noble: 9 of 60

WR Denard Robinson: 4 of 60

Analysis: Even with the loss of Justin Blackmon to an indefinite suspension, Sanders continued to be used as mainly a punt returner. Since he played a season-high 62 snaps against Denver, Sanders has played a total of 14. He missed the San Diego game with a concussion and played only four snaps against San Francisco. The biggest reason for his drop-off is the development of Brown, who has averaged 53.5 snaps in the four games since his return from a fractured vertebra. … Burton ended up leaving the game after suffering a concussion early in the fourth quarter. He had missed the previous five games with a concussion. … Todman’s nine snaps where the most he had played since he played 13 against Indianapolis. He ran three times for 11 yards and a touchdown. He had carried the ball just four times in his previous four games. … RB Justin Forsett did not play on offense for the first time this season. … Noble got his first playing time with the Jaguars, lining up mainly as an extra tight end on running downs.
